How much does Business Coaching cost?

Cost

I recently asked Google this question and was surprised by the variation of amounts.

But before I go any further there are 2 things that your Business Coach must have:

  1. Experience of running at least one business.

Otherwise this ends up being a worthless exercise. Studying business simply isn’t enough. Business is about risk, or managing risk at least. No amount of courses or qualifications can help with this.

Business experience is vital, so ask your prospective coach how many years experience they have.

Having experience of running businesses in more than one sector is a bonus of course.

2. Have the acknowledgement of an organisation.

Just because a person owns a business doesn’t mean that they can coach businesses.

Membership of a professional body is a must.

Business Coaching takes some thought- some time out from one’s own business.

Working in partnership with other Business Coaches is more than useful.

Now let’s get down to pricing.

The Entrepreneur’s Circle cost for a Coach is typically £399 per month for 1-2-1 coaching with one of their Licenced Coaches. Coaching with the founder Nigel Botterill is also available ( at a higher price) in groups or individually, but first you would have to join the organisation

Action Coach can range from £95 to £799 per month for group coaching.

1-2-1 coaching can cost between £1200 and £3000.

Bark advertise Business Coaches at a price of between £63 and £125 per hour.

On LinkedIn the price is said to be between £2500 and £5000 per month.

Other websites have various prices, sometimes depending upon the experience of the coach.

This is usually between £125 and £500 per hour.

I would certainly recommend you get a coach to help you with your business, particularly if you work alone.

Business can be a lonely business.

And sometimes you just might need someone to bounce ideas off.
